The Buffalo Bills sent shock waves through the football community Friday when they traded Sammy Watkins and a sixth-round pick to the Los Angeles Rams for cornerback E.J. Gaines and a second-round pick.

The key for the Bills was likely the second-round selection, which along with picks acquired via other trades, gives the Bills six picks in the first three rounds of the 2018 draft. The rebuild is on.

For the Rams, the key was clearly Watkins, a former first-round pick who is a supreme talent (albeit one set to hit free agency next spring and who has dealt with major foot injuries in recent years) who can help Jared Goff’s development.

So, who won the trade?
