Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill avoided structural damage to his knee after suffering an injury during Thursday’s practice, a member of the organization told NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala.

Tannehill merely ‘tweaked’ his knee, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Tannehill scrambled to his right during practice and sprinted upfield, planting his leg before crashing to the ground awkwardly. The quarterback was sporting a brace on his knee as a result of a partial ACL tear suffered last December.

Doctors are expected to meet with the team to go over their options in regard to how they’ll handle Tannehill’s injury going forward, ESPN’s Jeff Darlington and Adam Schefter report.

Matt Moore is currently listed second on the Dolphins’ depth chart.
