The Detroit Lions signed safety Glover Quin to an extension through the 2019 season, the team announced Sunday.

Quin, a Lion for the past four seasons, was set to become a free agent after the upcoming season. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

“Glover is one of our team leaders, and throughout his career has been a consummate professional on and off the field,” team general manager Bob Quinn said in a release. “We are thrilled that he will be a Lion for the next three seasons.”

Quin hasn’t missed a game since 2009. He recorded 68 total tackles and two interceptions last season.
