The NFL continues to move toward a long-awaited decision on the Ezekiel Elliott investigation.

Discussing his star running back’s situation in an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio on Thursday, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones both shared a feeling of an upcoming announcement and reiterated his support.

“I think we’ll have a decision imminently,” Jones said. “Of course, I don’t know what that will be and wouldn’t want to have conjecture in any way involving that. What I have seen, though, is the presentation of Zeke and his people and I’ve seen the league’s presentation. There’s no domestic violence involved here.”

The NFL has long been looking into a pair of domestic violence claims brought against Elliott by his ex-girlfriend last year, the first in January and the second in July.

A recent report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter indicated Elliott could face a one- or two-game suspension when the NFL concludes its investigation.

Dallas is scheduled to open the 2017 season with games against the New York Giants and Denver Broncos.
