As the NFL is reportedly nearing the conclusion of its investigation into the domestic violence allegations leveled at Ezekiel Elliott, the Dallas Cowboys running back’s accuser has appeared to open up on social media about their relationship.

According to TMZ Sports, the woman believed to be Elliott’s ex-girlfriend wrote:

Exactly one year ago today my life changed forever. Loving someone as much as I did, putting my all in no matter what happened. I finally got the strength to be the strong woman I was and got myself out of a very toxic relationship. Ladies never think you’re too in love or too scared to leave because at one point that was me. There’s plenty of opportunities out there for you. Love yourself first. Speak up and stop domestic violence.

The woman didn’t name Elliott in the post, but her reference to her life changing “one year ago today” falls in line with the allegations surfacing on July 22 of last year.

The league is investigating two alleged incidents, one in February 2016 in which Elliott’s ex-girlfriend claimed she was left with an injured arm after the rookie shoved her against a wall during an argument and one in July 2016 in which the woman posted pictures of bruises to her Instagram and tagged Elliott.

Elliott wasn’t arrested or charged with any crimes related to domestic violence, but is still reportedly facing the prospect of a short ban by the NFL.
