Carolina Panthers guard Trai Turner revealed he signed a four-year contract extension Thursday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Panthers, but a source told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Turner signed a four-year extension worth $45 million with $20.5 million guaranteed.

Turner has been named to the Pro Bowl in consecutive seasons.

The 24-year-old is in the final year of his contract and is scheduled to earn $1.79 million in base salary for the upcoming season.

He’s emerged as one of the NFL’s best guards since the Panthers selected him in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Panthers interim general manager Marty Hurney is apparently already working furiously after being appointed Wednesday.
