The Browns didn’t reveal what the No. 1 overall draft pick’s injury was.
“I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Garrett said, according to ESPN’s Pat McManamon. “I have to prove myself. I haven’t shown any kind of resume or what I can do on the NFL level, so they have to see. Go from level to level, from spot to spot and show that I can be successful.”
Garrett said defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been pushing him hard during practice.
“If I have five sacks, he’s like, ‘Why didn’t you have seven?'” Garrett said. “If you have three, it’s, ‘Why didn’t you have four?'”
The Browns hope Garrett can boost a pass rush that ranked among the worst in the league last season.
