Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry is known for being charitable, and one couple witnessed it firsthand while dining at a restaurant in Knoxville, Tenn., recently.

A woman named Rebecca Scott Mills recounted in a Facebook post how she and her husband saw Berry bring to-go boxes of food to three homeless people outside the restaurant. He then kneeled down and prayed with them.

Berry signed a six-year, $78-million contract extension with the Chiefs in February, making him the NFL’s highest-paid safety.
