John Lynch and the San Francisco 49ers aren’t done reshaping their roster.

The first-year general manager announced on Twitter that the team has signed veteran pass-rusher Elvis Dumervil.

Dumervil was released by the Baltimore Ravens in March after recording 99 career sacks in 11 seasons split between Baltimore and the Denver Broncos.

The veteran pass-rusher is a former teammate of his new general manager Lynch, as the two played in Denver together in 2006 and 2007.

Dumervil battled injuries for much of 2016, playing in only eight contests and recording three sacks. He played a full complement of games in 2015, however, and achieved six sacks.

After spending the past two-plus months on the open market, Dumervil was happy to pass along Monday’s news.

He’ll now join a youthful defensive front seven that includes DeForest Buckner, Arik Armstead, and the third overall pick of this year’s draft, Solomon Thomas.
