The San Francisco 49ers have scheduled a workout with free-agent pass-rusher Elvis Dumervil, ESPN’s Dan Graziano reports, citing a source.

One of the more intriguing names available on the open market, Dumervil finds himself still looking for work nearly three months after being released by the Baltimore Ravens.

While the apparent lack of interest in his services is almost certainly a result of the late-career dip in production – Dumervil managed just nine sacks across his final two seasons in Baltimore – the 33-year-old could still provide value as a complementary player on the edge.

Dumervil’s most recent season of high-level production came in 2014, when he tied a career high with 17 quarterback takedowns.

The former Denver Bronco will enter his 11th NFL season with a total of 99 sacks on his resume.
