Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson said Wednesday he will hold Corey Coleman out for the rest of the offseason program after the wide receiver took a “tougher spill” than first thought last week, according to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com.
Jackson added that he hopes Coleman will be back for training camp and that the second-year pro could push through the injury, but the Browns want to be cautious with him, according to Cabot.
It’s unclear exactly what injury Coleman suffered.
Coleman missed six games in his rookie season due to a hand injury. He finished with 33 catches for 413 yards and two touchdowns, and the Browns will be hoping he can make a significant leap in his second year to fill the void left by Terrelle Pryor.
