Cam Newton has been a lightning rod for criticism ever since he declared for the draft back in 2011.

Detractors jump on every perceived error or questionable comment from the Carolina Panthers‘ star quarterback, with the latest being his decision to film what was essentially a rap video for his 28th birthday.
