The New England Patriots can’t get enough running backs this offseason.

After adding Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee to a position that already boasted Dion Lewis and James White, the Patriots hosted Christine Michael on a free-agent visit Tuesday, a source told ESPN’s Field Yates.

Michael spent the 2016 season between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers, totaling 783 rushing yards and seven touchdowns.

The Patriots are likely doing their due diligence on Michael in case they need to sign him at a later date, as it’s difficult to see how they could manage a backfield with five veteran players needing touches.
