Since Nick Mangold‘s release from the New York Jets in late February, the center has received little attention on the open market, with only the Baltimore Ravens and New York Giants showing any interest.

However, the seven-time Pro Bowler hasn’t given up on finding a home for the 2017 season.

“I’m just rehabbing, trying to get right, trying to get ready,” said Mangold on Monday, according to Newsday’s Kimberley A. Martin. Mangold’s last season in New York ended with the veteran on injured reserve due to an ankle injury.

Asked if he has completely ruled out retirement, Mangold said: “We’re still trying to see what the options are.”

Mangold spent the first 11 years of his NFL career with the Jets, establishing himself as the premier center of his generation. While the 33-year-old isn’t the force he once was, he should still be able to provide value to a team.

However, he might have to wait until a training camp injury boosts his market to sign with the second team of his career.
