Watch your words, Myles Garrett. In the NFL, everyone is listening.

After the Cleveland Browns drafted Garrett first overall last week, the defensive end told reporters he’s excited to get after Pittsburgh Steelers star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in his first career game.

“I’m going to try to take him down,” said Garrett on draft night, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

Of course, Roethlisberger and his line of protectors got word of Garrett’s call-out and feel the same way about matching up with the college star.

“I was talking to (center Maurkice Pouncey) after Garrett called me out,” Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ron Cook. “Pounce got a big kick out of it.

“All of my linemen enjoyed hearing it. They can’t wait to get started. I can’t, either.”

Steelers offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert, who could be meeting Garrett face to face on the field, responded to the new Brown promptly via Twitter on draft night.

Garrett certainly isn’t entering the NFL quietly.
