Recently released tight end Gary Barnidge will pay a visit to the Buffalo Bills on Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports, citing a source.

Barnidge, a Pro Bowler in 2015, was released by the Browns after they drafted tight end David Njoku in the first round of the NFL draft Thursday.

The Bills were believed to be targeting a tight end in the draft as well and could have selected top prospect O.J. Howard with the 10th pick, but they elected to move back to the 27th spot and select a corner.

Buffalo’s tight-end depth chart currently features six-year veteran Charles Clay and third-year pro Nick O’Leary.
