After weeks of speculation, it’s official: Marshawn Lynch is home.

The Oakland Raiders officially announced they have acquired the formerly retired running back from the Seattle Seahawks via trade.

In a video announcing the acquisition, Lynch appears giddy as he tries on the gear of his home-town team:

The Raiders will receive Lynch and the Seahawks’ 2018 sixth-round draft choice in exchange for their fifth-round selection in 2018.

Lynch, 31, last played in the NFL in 2015. He’s expected to serve as the Raiders’ early-down hammer, with young tailbacks Jalen Richard and DeAndre Washington handling passing-down work.
