Mitchell Trubisky continues to be among the most compelling, polarizing players in this year’s draft and the North Carolina quarterback has a message for his critics.
“Watch the film,” Trubisky said to Andy Benoit of The MMQB.
Trubisky started just one year at North Carolina but impressed a legion of scouts with his arm strength during the 2016 campaign.
The 22-year-old believes that he warrants a first-round pick in the upcoming annual player selection event, after completing 68.2 percent of his passes for 30 touchdowns against six interceptions.
“There’s a lot of critics out there, but I think I’ve been able to show I can make a lot of the tight-window throws. I’m confident in what I’m able to do,” he added.
Trubisky is expected to be taken with the first 10 picks of the draft and it will be interesting to see whether teams agree with his strong self-assessment on April 27.
