New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is still livid about the “Deflategate” saga.
Belichick recently spoke with CNBC’s Suzy Welch for an extensive interview, which included a game of word association.
The legendary head coach was asked about the scandal that cost the Patriots $1 million, their 2016 first-round pick, and a four-game suspension for Tom Brady to start the 2016 season, and couldn’t help but snarl.
“Ridiculous,” Belichick said.
The Patriots have operated in another tier since the scandal, with Brady posting one of the best seasons of his career after returning from suspension, leading the team to victory in Super Bowl LI.
Nonetheless, “Deflategate” will never sit well with Belichick.
