Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver Louis Murphy was arrested at Tampa International Airport on a felony count for carrying a concealed weapon on Wednesday, Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Murphy was released on a $2,000 bond Wednesday afternoon.
The 29-year-old was stopped at a security checkpoint where the firearm was discovered, according to an airport spokeswoman.
Murphy was waived off injured reserved by the Buccaneers last November. He had joined the team in 2014 after spending time with the New York Giants, Carolina Panthers, and Oakland Raiders between 2009-13.
The former pass-catcher was also in the news last summer when he drunkenly called police after waking up trapped in a museum following a friend’s wedding.
