The Indianapolis Colts are unlikely to sign defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins, a source told Stephen Holder of The Indianapolis Star.

Hankins visited the Colts on Tuesday but emerged without a contract.

The 25-year-old is widely considered one of the best free agents available and is in the prime of his career, recording 43 tackles, three sacks, and a forced fumble, playing in all 16 games for the New York Giants in 2016.

Hankins was selected in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Ohio State by the Giants.
