The Baltimore Ravens have asked the NFL not to schedule them a bye week following their Week 3 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, team president Dick Cass told ESPN’s Jamison Hensley.

The Indianapolis Colts were granted the same request last season. They played in London in Week 4, but saved their bye for Week 10.

The NFL schedules bye weeks for teams playing overseas to limit the effects of the trip, but it appears the Ravens prefer to push through the challenge for the benefits of a later bye.

It will be Baltimore’s first international game in franchise history.
