The Washington Redskins have agreed to terms with free-agent linebacker Zach Brown, pending a physical, a source told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Brown was one of the few remaining big names left on the open market. Following a Pro Bowl season in 2016, he was thought to be seeking a significant contract.

Details of the linebacker’s deal with Washington have yet to be reported.

The 27-year-old racked up 149 total tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, and one interception for the Buffalo Bills last season. The Bills, along with the Miami Dolphins, Oakland Raiders, and Indianapolis Colts, were reportedly interested in signing him.

Brown brings impressive coverage skills to a Redskins linebacking corps that lacked speed last season. He should partner with Mason Foster in the center of the defense.
