Kyle Long is taking full responsibility as a leader of the Chicago Bears – for the good parts and the bad.

With the departures of offensive captains Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery, the 28-year-old three-time Pro Bowl guard will now be considered one of the prominent faces of the Bears.

Coming off the worst 16-game season in the club’s history, Long took to Twitter on Friday to apologize for the 3-13 record, saying, “the best leaders don’t take responsibility for only their job, but everything in the operation that involves success.”

Long, a four-year veteran, missed eight games last season with a torn labrum.
