Top wide receiver prospect Corey Davis won’t work out at Western Michigan’s pro day on Wednesday due to the same ankle injury that sidelined him from the NFL Scouting Combine, a source told ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

Davis underwent surgery in early February, but was expected to be healthy enough to participate in his pro day.

Graziano adds that Davis should be ready for minicamps based on his recovery timeline.

Davis is widely expected to be selected in the first round of the draft and is in contention to be the first receiver off the board, though it remains to be seen how his injury and inability to showcase his talents at the combine and pro day will affect his stock.

The 22-year-old finished his senior year with 97 catches for 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns.
