The Chicago Bears will sign free-agent cornerback Prince Amukamara, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports, citing a source.

It’s reportedly a one-year deal.

Amukamara spent 2016 as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, with whom he made 49 tackles in 14 games (12 starts) but didn’t force a turnover.

He spent the previous five seasons with the New York Giants.

With the Bears missing out on signing top free-agent cornerbacks A.J. Bouye, Stephon Gilmore, and Logan Ryan, Amukamara may have been the next-best option.
