Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters Wednesday that tight end Travis Kelce underwent recent shoulder surgery, according to Terez A. Paylor of the Kansas City Star.

Reid said the surgery was not major, but he still expects Kelce to miss some parts of Kansas City’s offseason program before returning in time for training camp.

“Trav had his shoulder done – he had it cleaned up,” Reid said. “He’ll probably miss some time throughout the offseason, but he’ll be ready, I believe, for camp.”

The 27-year-old Pro Bowler didn’t miss any games in 2016, but was listed with a shoulder injury before the Chiefs’ Week 13 game against Atlanta. Kelce was then named a first-team All-Pro tight end after racking up 85 catches for 1,125 yards and four touchdowns.
