The New York Giants‘ secondary is running out of bodies.

The team announced Saturday that safety Nat Berhe has been ruled out for its Monday Night Football meeting with the Minnesota Vikings, while fellow safety Darian Thompson is doubtful, and cornerbacks Eli Apple and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are questionable. Janoris Jenkins, Leon Hall, and Landon Collins appear to be the only healthy DBs on the roster, forcing the Giants to flirt with starting offensive players – possibly star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. – at safety in light of the injuries.

First-year head coach Ben McAdoo suggested during the week that the team wouldn’t bring in any free-agent solutions, but said they’ll work out defensive backs Will Allen, Donte Whitner, Shamiel Gary, and Jeron Johnson just one day before their Week 4 game.

Also of concern to the Giants is running back Rashad Jennings, who is questionable for Monday’s game, meaning Orleans Darkwa and Paul Perkins may have to pick up the slack in the run game.
