The Denver Broncos‘ quarterback competition is starting to take shape.
While all three quarterbacks continue to split snaps with the first-team offense, head coach Gary Kubiak has taken notice of first-round rookie Paxton Lynch.
“(Lynch) is really, really stepping up,” Kubiak told his team’s website. “He’s making some progress here.”
Sanchez didn’t do himself any favors Monday by throwing an interception at the goal line that would have been returned for a touchdown in a game situation.
“Mark threw a pick in the red zone; we can’t do that,” Kubiak said.
Kubiak has a tough decision ahead of him, as all three players have proven their worth over the course of camp.
“I know we’ve got three guys that are working their tail off right now,” Kubiak said. “I think we’re going to have three very good quarterbacks.”
